Archbishop Emeritus of Cape Town The Most Reverend Desmond Mpilo Tutu was celebrant and preacher. The University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University presented a joint Degree of Doctor of Human Letters upon Archbishop Tutu at the service.
