Join us as we present tours of the Gothic architecture of Ralph Adams Cram’s Calvary Episcopal Church. Combined with a service of Choral Evensong, sung by the Calvary Choir, the program provides a glimpse of the way Cram wove his ideas of space, sound, and ceremony into his buildings.
Following Evensong, Chatham Baroque and Dr. Alan Lewis, Calvary’s Music Director, will present a brief concert to dedicate a harpsichord recently acquired by Calvary.
Architectural tours begin at 4 p.m., the service of Choral Evensong follows at 5 p.m., and after a brief intermission the Chatham Baroque concert begins. We will host a reception in the Parish Hall at the conclusion of the concert.
The program is free and open to the public.
